I was here for lunch - so I got their lunch special of two dark meat fried chicken pieces + a side, for which I picked creamy mac and cheese These fried chicken pieces were really good. I got them two-star on the spice scale, and this ended up being the perfect middle ground to where I could feel the spice but it was not overwhelming - more like a mild kick to every bite but nothing that would have you gasping for water. In fact, I thought the breading as a whole was quite good. It wasn’t overly thick neither overly oily - managing a good balance between those two to remain crunchy and flaky but without feeling like you’re eating only breading with each bite Impressively - the breading stuck to the meat the entire way through - which is something you don’t always see with fried chicken. Both thigh pieces were pretty large - and had a ton of dark meat each. This balance between breading & meat was really good. It also helps when the meat is as juicy as it was here - and it really was very juicy. The inside of the chicken was basically perfection. As far as the sauces, I got the hot honey & the smoky chipotle. I didn’t really like the first one - as it just tasted like honey - and that felt weird with the fried chicken. the second one was a lot better, though As I mentioned, this also came with a side of mac & cheese. I definitely liked this less than the chicken. The macaroni was cooked well, but there was just way too much creaminess/cheesiness in the sauce for me. What helped a little bit was taking some of the breading and adding it to the bowl, and also adding pepper, but it was still not my favorite For the price - this came out to around $15, which I think is a pretty good deal. The chicken is large & meaty, although I wouldn’t say the entire thing is really that filling, since it’s just two pieces Overall, this is some really good fried chicken with a ton of flavor, but the side was a slight letdown. 8.75/10

Excellent food. The dining space is a little weird - not at all like a romantic atmosphere- more utilitarian. But the staff are awesome and the food is so worth it. Whether you're taking out or stopping in, you are going to be happy with your meal.

Hands down our favorite place to grab fried chicken. Recommend any of their sandwiches or 2-3 pieces combo with coleslaw. Their staff are extremely friendly, however it’s best to order in advance so that you are not at the end of a very long line. Highly Recommend!
