Got the chicken sandwich, two pieces of dark piece, and the mac&cheese and mashed potato (mashed taters & chicken gravy). For the meat we got 3 stars of spicy, which is cayenne. From what I can tell on the recipe the spicy added $1.50 extra per piece which I did not know from the menu. The spice is only on the skin and very dry kind of heat. Meat was good, sides were good. I wasn’t mind blown but it wasn’t bad either. Service was excellent!! No complaints. Atmosphere was very cool and eccentric with lots of different chicken decor spread throughout the restaurant. Comfortable seats and open spaces.

Oh my goodness. This place is amazing. The food is delicious. The small beer/cider/etc selection is on point. If you like spicy, this place can go spicy. Actual spicy that will have you break a sweat. You don’t have to add spice though. You can just enjoy the delicious chicken/food. So far the best chicken I’ve had in Seattle.

I love having this in Ballard. Every time I’ve had fried chicken here it’s been moist and not dried out. Orders take awhile to come out (5-10 min) which to me is a good thing, I don’t want my chicken under a heat lamp. I recently went for national fried chicken day which meant specials during lunchtime, but all the other times they’ve been equally kind, clean and delicious. I do spice level 4, I’d equate it to right around the Bul Dak (fire chicken) noodles. Pretty spicy but no pain. 5 would be pain and I have a very high spice desire. Owner says he can also do a 6 but it’s not on the menu.
