Very casual, it’s actually not bad but it’s not my scene. I think it’s a nice vibe for younger people, so the atmosphere is not for me but it doesn’t mean it’s bad. Really good variety of things to try and they all taste good but the noodles with no meat, I didn’t care for it much.

I've been to this place a couple times and gotten different things - the "Spicy & Tingly Beef Biang Biang Noodles" and the "Mouth Watering Chicken Noodles". The first time around I also had a side of the Mt. Fuji pork I generally think the noodles themselves are pretty high-quality. They're hand-pulled, and you can definitely tell the effort that goes into them, these are a lot better than your standard Chinese takeout noodles. Their wide shape and greasy texture allows for a lot of stick-to-tiveness from other parts of the bowl. The beef in my first bowl was also quite nice, as it was soft and flavorful. Side note: When eating here the first time my teeth started hurting and the pain didn't go away for four days. Not sure if it was because of the specific food or not but I've never had this happen anywhere else Despite the fact that the noodles themselves were good, both times I've had this I've walked away not feeling great. The main reason for this is the massive amount of oil used in the food. I get that fat is flavor, and oil makes the food taste better, but that's only up to a certain point. When you're halfway through the food and there's more oil than anything else, it's just incredibly unappetizing. It also does not feel good on your stomach, in fact, even just thinking about it now makes my stomach churn. I finished half the second bowl and threw the rest away for this reason Another disappointment was with the spice level of the food. The first time, I asked for spicy, and the second time, I asked for extra spicy. Both times were the same bland spice level, with the second one having slightly more chili oil on top. There was no spice present whatsoever The chicken was also really bland in the second bowl For the price, it's around $18-19, which is on the expensive side but not too bad. It is filling, at the least Overall, the noodles are good but everything else is unappealing. 6/10

Been to this place a few times over the years. It is nourishing and home made but not zesty. Certainly not zesty to a Xi'an level. The cumin lamb's cumin was almost imperceptible. The "extra spicy" was barely spicy. Overall, fairly bland compared to our expectations. Cucumber salad was diced and not smashed - as a result the cucumber barely grabbed the dressing, which was tasty but also hardly spicy and did not have any perceptible ma la spice. They did do a beautiful modern fast food renovation though.
